Our experienced instructors at Road Right Training lead courses for motorcycle learner permits and licence assessments. Not only will you learn how to handle your motorcycle safely and with confidence, you will finish the course with knowledge of all applicable road rules. We also teach you to be aware of other motorists on the road and how to improve your judgement when it comes to riding in traffic and obeying the road rules. With over forty years of experience, we are confident in our training methods and the skill level of our instructors.
Both of our M.E.T.A.L. courses start at 08:30 and should be finished by 16:00 (4pm). There is a maximum of 4 people on each course. This is to ensure your instructor can focus on you, making sure that you are gaining an understanding of the road rules and the skills to handle your motorcycle safely. The learners licence training focuses on motorcycle handling and making safe choices and is conducted in a class room and on a purpose built track. Learner licence holders who wish to get some supervised on-road experience, can enquire with the instructor. The provisional licence training will revise skills and concludes with a 2 hour on road assessment. Please ensure you have had some practice before booking the provisional course.
It is important that all participants on our courses wear appropriate riding attire. The minimum is long sleeve shirts and long pants with covered footwear, but proper motorcycle clothing is better. Helmets and gloves are mandatory, we do have them available for your use. Helmet fit is taught on the learners course and very important to your safety, if you are unsure please ask for assistance. Bring your licence with you or if you don't have one, you will need your client number that is provided on the receipt for the Rider Knowledge Test done at MVR prior.
